123D Make...
I have never heard of or used 123D Make before this class. I found it to be relatively easy to use for the purpose we were using it for.
Chose an object from Thingyverse, downloaded it and then imported into Autodesk 123D Make.
Had a play around with the different construction techniques that were available for use.

Radial Slices |
Interlocked |
Curves |
Stacked Slices |
Folded Panels |
I chose to use the radial slices as it best suited the design of my dalek eggcup.
What it will look like once cut and pieced together |
The plans of the pieces |
Even though there are red pieces on the plans I though I would give it a shot on the laser cutter anyway
Plans in illustrator, set up and ready to cut with the laser cutter |
All cut out |
Final result |
All locked together nicely even though it had red pieces in the plans. I don't think it will be coming apart it is quite solid and the pieces are wedged in there good |
I think this is really awesome. Yay for my Dalek Eggcup!! |
