The Deathly Hallows...
This is me continuing to be really geeky. Harry Potter is one of my all time favourites and I thought it would be soo cool to design and make a 3D printed deathly hallows sign.
Drew the simple shapes with the line tool |
Extruded the triangle with a cylindrical hole in it |
I tried out different shaped objects that would represent the line (elder wand)...
A cylinder |
A cuboid |
The reason there is a large cylinder at the base of this model is because it was going to be the top attachment for the pedestal the I created and 3D printed.
I though it would be better to print in two arts so not as much scaffolding would be needed |
Exported as an stl. This is what the model looks like in 123D Make as a solid |
I went to 3D print this model but on placing it into the software realised that some parts, such as the rod and the walls of the triangle were to thin for printing at the size I was allowed to print at. I was very disappointed but maybe another time.
